They are intended to be pilgrimages for souls who feel the calling for a higher and truer life, who yearn for progress, and who have faith in the destiny of humanity. Auroville is a special place that was specifically founded to assist humanity in its march to the future. These journeys are, therefore, envisioned to be opportunties for self-discovery, self-realization, and co-creative action. Each journey begins from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). We fly with Singapore Airlines. The first of three legs of our trip to India takes us to Taiwan in about 12 hours. After a one hour layover we reboard our plane and fly to Singapore in about 6 hours. At the wonderful Singapore Changi Airport we have about 8 hours to rest and shower in the Transit Hotel, and then to dine, take a tour of the city, or to simply wander the excellent airport facilities before boarding for our 4 hour flight to Chennai (formerly, Madras). Upon our arrival in Chennai we travel the 250 km (150 miles) to Auroville via taxi or van, arriving at our Auroville guesthouse around 4:00 AM. For 16 days and 15 nights will participate in many activities, make new friends, and enjoy many opportunities for individual and collective spiritual practice. Our visit in Auroville ends when we travel back to Chennai for our late evening (11:30 PM) flight. We return to LAX the next day at 10:50 PM. Travel Dates Currently one trip is being organized for the fall of this year. The dates for the journey is as follows: Fall 2004: October 13-31   Group Leaders!! If you have a group of 18-20 travelors you can lead an Auroville Journey. Trips can be organized at any time of the year.
